Another PSG icon may leave team after Kylian Mbappe wishes to depart from Paris: Reports

Luis Campos

With problems with the board, PSG sporting advisor Luis Campos is set to leave the team only months after joining, and Kylian Mbappe is apparently ‘eager to leave’ as the latest drama to surround the French champions. Luis Campos, the sporting advisor for Paris Saint-Germain, is apparently planning to depart the team only a few months after moving at the Parc des Princes.

Campos is regarded as one of the sport’s most in-demand consultants after discovering talent valued at more than £500 million while working with Monaco and Lille. However, according to the sources, he may be leaving after clashing with the club’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, and the director of football Antero Henrique.

The Portuguese talent-spotter apparently disapproved of Henrique’s efforts during the summer because he was unable to get rid of several of undesirable players.

Despite only joining them in June, he apparently feels “betrayed” by the board and may now be leaving PSG. Following news earlier on Tuesday that Kylian Mbappe wanted to leave and felt “betrayed” by the board, the drama involving Campos is the most recent to continue to envelop the club.

Since his relationship with PSG executives is “totally destroyed,” Mbappe reportedly wants to leave the Parc des Princes in January, but it’s thought he won’t be permitted to sign with Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old reportedly informed PSG in July that he wanted to depart despite intense attention from Real, who made a bid of £154 million for him in the summer of 2021 before he chose to forgo the Spanish powerhouses and sign a new contract in Paris.

However, Marca has now asserted that if Mbappe does truly leave, PSG will not consider any offer from them, leaving Liverpool as one of his only workable possibilities. The article claims that PSG has agreed to work on Mbappe’s exit under specific circumstances, one of which is that a move to the Bernabeu is eliminated.
