Antony’s ex-partner Gabriela Cavallin to take legal route over domestic abuse submitting evidence of aggressive behavior

Antony Matheus dos Santos, Manchester United winger, will potentially be facing criminal charges. Gabriela Cavallin, Antony’s ex-partner, has submitted evidence of his crimes. In a 70-page document, Cavallin’s lawyers state that the player may have to answer for 3 different charges.
Further, Gabriela Cavallin reported these threats by the player on the 20th of May’23. The DJ and influencer initially reported the crime in Tatuapé, 5th Police Station for the Defence of Women. Cases were made for crimes of domestic violence, threats, and bodily harm. The victim was assaulted as recently as the month of May. She however did not specify whether it occurred in Brazil or England.
Gabriela has stated that the assault took place as early as July’22. The DJ who had been in a relationship with the player for the past two years had moved with him during his time at Ajax all the way to Manchester. The assault began after the couple had broken up, where the player would have her removed from a nightclub in Vila Olímpia, São Paulo.
Albeit on June 28th, The Brazilian had responded to these allegations. He states, “After the closure of the investigation, my innocence will be proven, being certain that justice will prevail, and the damage initially caused to my image will remain in the past. Thank you for the countless messages of support received at this very difficult time.” Antony now faces a new set of charges.
Antony’s time at Manchester United
Antony’s career began with a bang. Scoring against league leaders Arsenal in his debut. He would go on to score a few more. He plays on the right side for the club based in Manchester. Clearly preferring his left foot, Antony is said to be a one-dimensional player.
Oppositions have already latched on to this preference of his. A skillful dribbler, Antony has a sense of flair in his play, not being afraid to take on defenders. Capable of scoring with his left, his goal against Barcelona had fans off their seats.
The Brazilian’s performances saw him called up for the National squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Where he made 4 appearances for the Seleção. He ended his first season at Man United with 8 goals and 3 assists winning the Carabao Cup along the way.
