Gabriela Cavallin shared a statement after it was officially announced that Antony will not be training with Manchester United. The statement was released on Instagram with the help of her lawyers just hours after Manchester United’s announcement.

Gabriela Cavallin, 22, is a DJ and Brazilian influencer who used to be in a relationship with Manchester United forward, Antony. The DJ had filed a police report against the winger in Brazil alleging cases of domestic violence, bodily injury, and threat. Since then Cavallin has released photos of WhatsApp screenshots and injuries, one of a cut finger. Meanwhile, the player has denied any physical violence allegations made against him on Brazilian TV. Antony was however dropped by the Brazilian National Team as a result of these accusations.

Manchester United have since then made a couple of announcements relating to the player. One, the club will not make any further comments until further evidence presents itself. Two, Antony will delay his return to the club. Consequently, Gabriela Cavallin has now released an official statement commenting on the whole situation and United’s dealing with the whole situation.

“Regarding the repeated episodes of aggression suffered by her, informs that she trusts in the serious and competent investigation of the Civil Police of Sao Paulo, and equally of the Police of Manchester/UK,” she stated. She ended her statement by believing justice will be done and the aggressor will be punished and prosecuted.

Antony’s time at Manchester United

The winger was purchased from Ajax for a fee of £85m by Manchester United. The Dutch fans always regarded the player as someone with incredible potential but not a finished product. But this did not faze the Red Devils from splashing the money on him and he was made an immediate starter by Erik ten Hag when they played against Arsenal in the Premier League.

Since then Antony’s time at the club has been a mixture of decent performances followed by ghosting in moments where the Brazilian is expected to do better. With 4 goals and 2 assists in the Premier League last season, the player is yet to impress the ex-Manchester United players. “I felt he is predictable. Always coming in on his left foot. He needs to add different dimensions to his game,” spoke Paul Scholes. While Rio Ferdinand said, “The power, I don’t see it, I don’t think he has the power in his body.”

Antony now takes a leave of absence due to off-the-field problems, further, adding to his on-pitch show of poor performances.
