Champions League winner and former Chelsea star Jorginho currently pulls the strings in Arsenal’s midfield. The Italian midfielder joined the Gunners in 2023 for a £12 million fee after they failed to convince now Chelsea player Moises Caicedo to sign for the club. However, almost a year-and-a-half later, talk of him leaving the club has surfaced.

The 32-year-old’s contract is set to expire in the summer in June. His agent, Joao Santos has added to the rumors that the Italian will in fact, part ways with Arsenal upon expiry of his contract. Even though the player has struggled with form in the past months, Thomas Partey’s prolonged absence and Martin Odegaard‘s change in position saw Jorginho play a significant role in the club’s ascent to the top.

With the international break coming to a close, clubs prepare to enter the final stretch of the season. The Premier League makes for one of the most exciting finishes to a League season, with the top three separated by a single point. Arsenal are top of the bunch, with 64 points in 28 games. Out of the ten, their most daunting challenge comes up on 31st March. The table toppers go head to head with the defending champions Manchester City at the end of this month. Ahead of the tie, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice was spotted partying at Chiltern Firehouse after Harry Styles and James Corden threw a party for the player.

Rice captained the Three Lions on his 50th cap, an event that left him ‘speechless’ when he came to know of the news. While many fans criticized the player for partying with such a crucial game over the horizon, others said that it was only fitting that the player celebrated him becoming captain for the first time.

Rice has been crucial to Mikel Arteta‘s midfield so far this season. Fans are hoping that the same will continue against City as well.
