Arsenal legend compares the duo of these two Premier League stars to Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp
The two combined have contributed to 64 goals in the Premier League this season.
Martin Keown claims Kevin de Bruyne and Erling Haaland are the best partnership he has ever seen in the Premier League. The Englishman placed the Manchester City duo above former teammates and Invincibles Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp.
There have been many iconic Premier League partnerships, from Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton to Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. However, according to Keown, none are comparable to the Manchester City duo. “I thought Bergkamp and Henry was one hell of a partnership for Arsenal back in the day, but in De Bruyne and Haaland, maybe it’s gone to another level. Haaland is such a young man, and he just terrorised Arsenal’s defence. And De Bruyne’s movement… I mean, wow.”
He praised the entire team, saying they are “one of the best Premier League teams we’ve ever seen.” Manchester City dismantled title challengers Arsenal 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium to take control of the Premier League title race. They certainly have star striker Erling Haaland to thank. The Norwegian is set to smash the record for most goals in a Premier League season. He has 34 goals in 30 games.

Martin Keown believes Arsenal can reach the level of Manchester City
The former Arsenal man offered hope to the Gunners after their collapse against Manchester City. He believes the team is still growing and said their performances deserve praise.
“What I’m trying to do here is acknowledge the greatness of Man City and what Arsenal are up against,” he said on talkSPORT. “It’s about building for Arsenal and getting a squad that can go all the way. At the moment, they’ve gone some of the way. If you win tackles and headers, you win matches; if you go on a run of winning matches, you win trophies.”
He added, “The only thing missing from Arsenal is the winning trophies part. That’s what they need to do. But we’ve had a chance to fight! We’ve been in the race! For many years Arsenal haven’t, so we can applaud that. This is the beginning. I’m convinced Arteta will do something special if they can keep him there.” Arsenal is one point behind league leaders Manchester City. The Citizens have won eight matches in a row and look unstoppable, especially since they have a game in hand against the Gunners.
