Tottenham and Arsenal are considered one of the biggest clashes in Europe and it is called the North London derby as both teams dwell in the north of London. This epic battle has created several histories and the players make impressions in this tie remain in their fan’s hearts.

The North London derby is set to happen once again this Wednesday as both teams look to secure three points to stay in the top four race. Arsenal is currently at the fourth spot and Conte’s side will look to overtake the Gunners to close gaps to keep their hopes alive.

The Welshman scored in his first match against the Gunners back in 2007 and scored in back-to-back games after almost three goals from his first goal. He again went goalless in three North London derbies but came back again and scored his fourth and fifth goal, securing his name on the list of the most goalscoring player in the clash.

4. Robin Van Persie- Arsenal(5)

He is among the joint-fourth spot holders after netting five times in the tie against Tottenham during his time at Arsenal. He failed to leave his mark on the first several starts in the derby but once he got off the mark he went on to score five goals in eight appearances. 

3. Robert Pires- Arsenal(8)

Robert Pires was among the players during the early 2000s in Arsenal having eight goals to his name in the derby making him the third-highest goalscorer for the Gunners. He played eleven North London derbies netting eight times with a record five goals in four consecutive appearances against the Spurs. 

2. Emmanuel Adebayor- Arsenal and Tottenham(10)

He is one of the eight players to have played for both the teams in North London and was just the second goalscorer for Tottenham and Arsenal during his reign. The Togo international has scored eight goals for the Gunners in seven games and two goals for the Spurs against the Gunners, both of them coming in a defeat against the Gunners.

He is the top goal scorer for the Spurs and his performances in the derby have put his name in the history book after netting 11 times. He scored two in his debut derby match and since then he added 9 more to his list and it is still to be continued as they face their arch-rival again this Wednesday.
