Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo has recently chimed in with his opinion on Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. The former Barcelona and Juventus man has had the opportunity to share dressing rooms with both legends and believes that while their personality is different outside the pitch, on the pitch, both of them are extremely focused and serious.

Currently in Liverpool, Melo had been touted as one of the talents half a decade back but he has struggled for game time in the last couple of seasons. However, his experience with both Ronaldo and Messi is also something very few players have been able to accumulate in the history of the sport.

According to him both Ronaldo and Messi have great personalities on the pitch. But off the pitch, Messi is a little more reserved and does not show up in the headlines often whereas on the other side, Ronaldo is very playful off the pitch and likes to see in the headlines. Ronaldo’s boisterous nature has been in the focus of the media for the better part of two decades. From calling himself the best to throwing microphones in the water, Ronaldo has always been in the news. While his counterpart has been a family man through and through.

But when it comes to football both have the same work mentality and everybody should look up on to them and try to indulge those qualities in themselves. Arthur quoted “They are two personalities, off-field, a little different. Leo is a little more reserved and Cristiano is a little more playful. But in the work circle, the mentality of the two is something to admire and [you must] try to get closer to it.”

Seems like the debate of the Goats will not end sooner and we will get to witness the opinions and views of many different players in the upcoming years. Which is great.
