Brazil announced their FIFA Women’s World Cup arrival by hammering Panama 4-0. The demolition was led by Ary Borges. Borges scored a hat trick and assisted on a goal for Brazil. Panama could not cope with the Brazilian flair and was defending for most of the match. Social Media praised the young winger, Borges, for her performance.
This was, incidentally, the World Cup debut for Borges. She announced herself on the World Stage with a stellar performance as she scored a hat trick and assisted Bia Zaneratto for a goal. She was then substituted, making way for Marta. The legend thus made her appearance in the 6th World Cup.
Borges’ amazing performance drew comparisons with another legend of the game. She was compared to Brazilian legend Ronaldinho for her play and even for her looks. Ronaldinho was famously a part of Brazil’s 2002 FIFA World Cup-winning squad.
Borges would like to do the same and lead her country to glory at the FIFA 2023 Women’s World Cup. Brazil has begun its campaign strongly and will be facing a tough opponent in France. Brazil plays France on the 29th of July.
