Ballon d’Or 2023: Every award with winners from the marquee ceremony
Here is the list of all the winners from the 2023 Ballon d'Or ceremony.

As the most coveted football event of the year took place, football fans, players and managers from all around the world joined to celebrate. It was undoubtedly a night full of limelight glory. The Ballon d’Or award was started to be awarded by the France Football Federation in 1956 but was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19, irrespective of full seasons being played.
Until last night, Lionel Messi was the player with the most Ballon d’Ors and we would remain so. He won a record eighth Ballon d’Or award for his successful World Cup campaign with Argentina while Aitana Bonmati won the Feminine Ballon d’Or for her successful campaigns with FC Barcelona and Spain.
Women’s Ballon d’Or
Aitana Bonmatí of Spain and FC Barcelona won the Women’s Ballon d’Or award after a successful campaign with the Spanish national Team which won the World Cup. She also played a major role in helping FC Barcelona with the women’s Champions League.
She also won the UEFA Player of the Year award in her category and has been the undisputed best player in the world of women’s football for a while now.
Men’s Ballon d’Or
Lionel Messi went on to win his record eighth Ballon d’Or last night. He finished the night thanking his friends and family for their support. He also paid his respects to Diego Maradona on his birthday.
Messi’s award comes in the wake of his successful performances for Argentina in the World Cup and being the player of the tournament in the campaign.
Socrates Trophy
Real Madrid and Brazil’s Vinicius Jr. won the coveted Socrates Trophy for his contribution to the education and football development of underprivileged children in Brazil.
He also runs a foundation called the Vini Jr. Foundation which had raised and invested more than $4m last year.
Gerd Muller Trophy
While he missed out on the Ballon d’Or, Erling Haaland won his first-ever Gerd Muller Trophy. This award is provided to the best striker of the year.
After an unforgettable debut campaign with Manchester City, he won the treble and broke 26 records along the way. That included being the highest-ever single-season goalscorer in the Premier League and winning the Golden Boot.
Kopa Trophy
Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham won the Kopa Trophy which is given to the best Young Talent in the world. He edged the award over his former roommate Jamal Musiala.
Following the award were Gavim, Pedri, Matthijs de Ligt, and Kylian Mbappe where Bellingham joins a prestigious list. He thanked his family and friends and underlined how his focus was on winning trophies with Real Madrid now.
Club of The Year
For the second time in a row, treble winners, Manchester City became the club to win the Club of the Year award at the Ballon d’Or ceremony. CEO Ferran Soriano came upon the stage to accept the award along with the City players that attended the ceremony.
He underlined how the club’s success was not built overnight but was an effort of a decade of everyone in the management.
Yashin Trophy
Emiliano Martinez, the Argentine goalkeeper who represents Aston Villa, won the Yashin Trophy this year. It was in the wake of his magnanimous performance for the World Cup winners in the finals or the numerous penalty saves he made throughout.
He has also been in great form for Villa this season edging them as far as the fifth position so far.
Women’s Club Of the Year
FC Barcelona Femeni won the award for being the best Women’s club this year. This comes after a successful campaign winning the UEFA Champions League.
They won a total of three trophies in the period and have set an example for the rest of the clubs to follow in the female category.
