On 14th August 2021, Brentford played their first game back in the Premier League at home, against Arsenal. Brentford fans would have been happy with a draw, as the newly promoted side were just happy to be back in the top division. What the fans were treated to instead was a 2-0 victory over the Gunners.

Since that performance, Brentford have only gone up. Last season Brentford had some incredible performances beating some of the teams that they never would have expected. 4-0 up at halftime against Manchester United, the league double over Manchester City. Wins against teams such as Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham also added to their list of accomplishments after only getting promoted back in 2021.

With the frontline duo of Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbeumo, Brentford outperformed what was expected of them. As Toney will remain out of the squad till January, fans will be looking at Yoane Wissa for goals, a player who only scored 7 for the club last season.
