Barcelona must convince Frenkie de Jong to leave to sign Bernardo from Man City

While the club have an agreement in place with Manchester City’s arch-rivals for the sale of Frenkie de Jong. The player is still insistent on staying at Camp Nou this summer as he prioritises Champions League football over a reunion with manager Erik ten Hag.

Barca’s plans are clear, they will only attempt to sign Bernardo Silva if they can sell Frenkie de Jong. The 25-year-old still enjoys the support of manager Xavi, but the Spaniard could give the green signal to sell the player as the cloud is in desperate need of funds.

Reports suggest that the Blaugrana have already informed de Jong that he must accept the Manchester United proposal and leave the club or else he could be left out of the club’s pre-season tour of the USA.
