Barcelona considering to sign this key Premier League forward in 2023 summer window: Reports
Wilfred Zaha
Barcelona have a strong attacking side in Laliga. With the work put into the additions in the summer and Ousmane Dembele’s extension, they now have two players in each striker position, but the club is still debating buying another player to replace Memphis Depay, whose contract expires in the summer. Players whose contracts expire on June 30 fall under this category.
Recently, the prospect of signing Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace surfaced in England. The Ivory Coast winger’s contract expires in six months, and he intends to advance in his career. Zaha, a former player for Manchester United who wants to try his luck in Spain, has been offered a contract by Barcelona. And he is without a doubt a player with ambition. He scored six goals in 12 games this season after scoring 14 goals in 31 games for one of the lower Premier League teams last year.
He can play in all areas of the attack, and if the price is right, Barça would give the deal significant consideration. Zaha has previously been observed, but his fee has always been out of reach. He will shortly become a free agent.
Xavi’s response to the round-of-16 play-off draw for the Europa League
The manager of FC Barcelona, Xavi, has acknowledged that their opponent in the Europa League round of 16 play-off was the toughest. For the second straight year, Barcelona was unable to advance past the round of 16 in the Champions League. In Group C, they came in third behind Inter Milan and Bayern Munich.
Barcelona won a spot in the Europa League round-of-16 play-off draw as a result of finishing third. On Monday, the round-of-16 play-off draw was made, and Barcelona was paired with Manchester United. Man United came in second in Group E, behind Real Sociedad, and thus failed to advance directly to the round of 16 of the Europa League. To guarantee their spot in the next round of the competition, the Red Devils must defeat Barcelona.

After knowing that Manchester United will be their opponent in the play-off, Barcelona manager Xavi acknowledged that they had been dealt the most challenging foe. Xavi added that Man Utd had developed significantly under Erik ten Hag as manager of the Red Devils. The worst draw they could have received, he said.
“It is the most difficult opponent once again, but we will look forward to it,” the Barcelona manager stated.
“They are a historic side, they have grown a lot with the arrival of Ten Hag, they have great players. It’s the worst draw we could have got. Once again, no luck.”
