Real Madrid recently won their 100th title on Saturday, defeating Al Hilal in the Club World Cup. Vinicius Jr., Federico Valverde, and Karim Benzema all scored goals. The Las Blancos made history as now, they are the only club to have won the FIFA Club World Cup five times.

Vinicius Jr. began the scoring, and Fede Valverde put the game out of reach. Moussa Marega of Al Hilal grabbed one back, and the game was on. Vinicius and Valverde completed their brace in the second half, while Karim Benzema also scored. The game concluded 5-3, and Real Madrid won the Club World Cup. Real Madrid is one of Europe’s most accomplished clubs, having won 14 Champions Leagues, 35 La Ligas, and 19 Copa del Rays. They are chasing the leaders, FC Barcelona, for their 36th La Liga title.

Vinicius has 16 goals and 7 assists in all competitions and has been in the news on and off the pitch. Real Madrid is 8 points behind Barcelona in La Liga and will strive to close the gap against Elche and Osasuna next week. Real Madrid’s main attention will be on Liverpool, whom they will meet in the Champions League Round of 16, and it will be a thrilling encounter since both teams are in and out of form.

Real Madrid is enjoying a good season, but they had a rough game against Mallorca, and Mallorca players also targeted Vinicius Jr. during the game. Real Madrid will next play Elche in La Liga on coming Wednesday. Currently, they are 8 points behind arch-rivals FC Barcelona in the 2022-23 La Liga season. They are scheduled to play against Liverpool in the Champions League Round of 16 next week.
