Barcelona star Gavi won the Kopa Trophy
Gavi, a star footballer for the prestigious Spanish team Barcelona, has accomplished a significant milestone in his young football career. At the Ballon d’Or event in Paris on Monday, October 17, 2022, he was awarded the Kopa Trophy as the best player under 21 from the previous season.
The youthful sensation is now featured on the cover page of the highly acclaimed magazine France Football, which only increases the delight and accomplishment. The magazine will also include essays about his trip and his emotions following this year’s Kopa Trophy victory.
His Barcelona teammate Pedri took home the award last year. In order to win the honour this year, Pablo Martin Paez Gavira supplanted Pedri. There were rumours that Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund was also deserving of the prize, but Gavi had his hands firmly gripped the trophy.
In a short period of time, Gavi has established his value to the football world, and his fame is expanding. He recently signed a new contract with Barcelona, binding him to the team through 2026 and including a one billion euro release clause. Pablo Martin Paez Gavira ought to be treated with the same respect as other young talent.

Kopa Trophy and the Barcelona youngster
The Kopa Trophy is a prestigious prize given to qualified candidates in the world of football. Former Ballon d’Or winners serve on the panel that selects the title winner. The execution takes place in a very bias-free setting. The prize bears Raymond Kopa’s name; he was a former Real Madrid and France player.
The prize has also been given to Matthijs de Ligt and Kylian Mbappe in the past. Both the Spanish national team and Spanish club Barcelona use Pablo Martn Páez Gavira as a central midfielder. He signed his first professional contract with the Catalan club in September 2020, and was then immediately promoted from the under-16 team to the under-19 team.
