Barcelona star Ronald Araujo to miss 2022 FIFA World Cup after thigh injury: Reports

The Barcelona star Ronald Araujo has been injured during his international match with Uruguay, following a thigh injury the player had to walk out of the field. Reportedly the Uruguayan player would be off the field for almost 3 months of time, which will make him miss the FIFA World Cup 2022.
The young player’s wish to play for his team in the World Cup unfortunately would be shattered, the Uruguayan team is lacking a strong centre-back and has no better option at the team than Araujo himself. Playing at the biggest stage of the international level football is still a dream to many.
A speedy recovery is expected but after looking at the injury it’s difficult to say anything rigid at the moment. Ronald Araujo has been performing quite well at the back both with his club Barcelona and his national team. An important asset was lost right before the big event. The injury shall take its time but Uruguay doesn’t seem to have much.
