Ousmane Dembele becomes father of a baby girl on Friday night, according to the reports. Despite spending the night in the hospital, Dembele plays against Elche at Spotify’s Camp Nou.
Sources claim that Ousmane Dembele got little sleep but the winger gladly accepted to play. He has started every game this season, except against Cadiz, where he came on as a substitute. Dembele got married with be Moroccan TikTok star Rima Edbouche in December, which caught the team off guard because they were unaware of his relationship.
One of Europe’s most improved players in 2022, Ousmane Dembele’s performance may have been sufficient to secure him a new deal at the Camp Nou. The France international moved to Barcelona in 2017 for a staggering £89 million, but during his time there, he only sometimes displayed his potential.
He’s had trouble with injuries, missing more games in Catalonia than he actually did manage to play. Additionally, the Spanish press has relentlessly singled him out for criticism due to repeated claims of tardiness and other transgressions.

Due to his recent improvement, many Barcelona supporters have been pleading for Dembele to stay at Camp Nou even though the winger appeared destined to leave when his contract was set to end this summer.
“I have no doubts with him,” Barca manager Xavi said before the victory over Celta Vigo in May 2022. “Even though he’s not having much luck in front of goal, he generates a lot of danger. He is a difference-maker. I am very satisfied with him.”
After his two assists against Celta Vigo, Dembele has now recorded 11 La Liga assists since the start of January. That’s the same number he achieved between April 2018 and the end of 2021. He had 13 assists during the entire 2021-22 season, the most in La Liga. Dembele’s number eclipses the likes of Karim Benzema (12), Jordi Alba (10) and Vinicius Junior (9).
