In the summer transfer window, Barcelona made a ton of additions, with Franck Kessie being the first. The Ivorian agreed to join Barcelona via a Bosman deal after Xavi requested that discussions to sign him begin in January.

His time in Barcelona hasn’t exactly been good, though. He is behind Pedri, Sergio Busquets, Gavi, and Frenkie de Jong in the midfield hierarchy. For additional background, he has participated in seven La Liga games this season, starting just two.

Kessie has also left a lot to be desired when he has played, frequently finding it nearly impossible to fit in. The midfielder wants to leave Barcelona in January, according to Calcio Mercato reports. According to the news, he has made his services available to a few Italian clubs, including AC Milan, his old club.

According to reports from the past two weeks, the 25-year-old was not happy with his circumstances but was certain that he would soon be essential to Xavi and the team.

Barcelona are back to Europa League

Barcelona

Barcelona was eliminated from the Champions League in the group stage for the second consecutive year before kicking a ball against Bayern at Camp Nou. But because Viktoria Plzen failed to get a point in Group C, Xavi’s team must get ready for yet another Europa League knockout round.

Barca must play in a play-off round to actually advance to the round of 16 since, as a result of their exit from the Champions League, they have been demoted to Europe’s secondary club championship. They will play one of the teams that placed second in the Europa League group stage in that two-game matchup.

The draw will be made before the World Cup kicks off on November 7 and those two games will be played on February 16 and February 23. In that round, Barcelona cannot be paired with another Spanish team.
The Europa League group stage’s current runners-up are PSV, Rennes, Ludogrets, Union Berlin, Manchester United, Sturm Graz, Qarabag, and Monaco as of game week six.
