Bayern Munich Starboy Jamal Musiala made headlines following his nomination for the 2023 Golden Boy award. Speaking to media outlet Sports Bild, the 20-year-old winger spoke of his short and long-term objectives. Musiala is a promising young talent and is well-known for his close control and magical dribbling skills. The youngster was also nominated for the 2023 Ballon d’Or, although any achievement is unlikely.

Fabrizio Romano shared the news on social media, quoting Jamal Musiala. The player said, “I want to be one of the best players in the world, it’s my plan and ambition.” He added that in a year or two, he aims to place himself at the highest level of football and to be the best in the world. He also spoke of his ambition, and that he would love to follow in the footsteps of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I hope to compete for the Ballon d’Or,” Jamal Musiala said. The German International also aims to ascend the Ballon d’Or podium in the future. Musiala has had a relatively silent start to the season compared to last year. The player has featured in two Bundesliga matches this season so far, but has failed to provide a goal or assist.

Jamal Musiala speaks of a move to the Premier League

In an interview with media outlet Sports Bild, Jamal Musiala spoke of the Premier League and the possibility of a move to England in the future. The 20-year-old currently has 3 years left on his contract, with the deal scoring in 2026. He said that the Premier League is the strongest and most attractive league in the world. However, he stressed his desire to stay at Bayern and that he felt comfortable at the club.

However, he did not shut out a move to the PL and said that one never knows what can transpire in the coming few years. Musiala was voted player of the season for Bayern, beating Thomas Müller and Matthijs de Light. The 20-year-old received 46 percent of all votes and was crowned POTY.

There are also reports that Manchester City has identified the youngster as a potential replacement for Kevin de Bruyne. The player started his career in England, playing for Southampton as well as the Chelsea Academy. The German scored 12 goals and 10 assists in 33 appearances last season. He played a crucial role in their Bundesliga campaign, scoring the winner as Bayern lifted the title.
