“At the peak of his career”- Roberto Martinez feels Real Madrid fans will witness a new version of Eden Hazard next season

According to Belgium manager Roberto Martinez, Real Madrid will witness a “completely different” Eden Hazard next season, since the winger is “obsessed” with success at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Hazard has struggled in Spain since joining Madrid in a spectacular £103.5 million transfer in 2019, making only 48 appearances in LaLiga for the club, 20 of which have come off the bench.
Hazard has only been involved in 10 league goals in that period (four goals, six assists), and he was a virtual spectator when Carlo Ancelotti’s side won LaLiga and the Champions League last season, starting only seven league games.

However, the 31-year-old shone for Belgium during the last international break, and he is convinced that he will return to his former form after assisting Kevin De Bruyne’s goal in a 6-1 win over Poland.
Martinez agrees with that forecast and feels that the winger’s objective of winning the World Cup in Qatar this summer will provide him with even more incentive when he returns to Madrid.
“Eden Hazard is at the peak of his career,” Martinez said on the radio show El Larguero. The level of mind and physical shape he was in June startled me,” he stated. “The Real Madrid supporters will see a completely different Hazard.”
Martinez’s own future as Belgium manager has been put into doubt in recent months, as he failed to guide the Red Devils’ so-called “golden generation” of talents to tournament victory since taking over in 2016.
The 48-year-old has already stated that he will not consider any potential new contract with Belgium until after the World Cup, but he has now refused to rule out the possibility of coaching the Spanish national team in the future.
“Any initiative with genuine belief in it,” he remarked, “is always available to me.”
In Qatar, Belgium and Spain might meet in the round of 16, with Martinez’s squad placed in Group F together with Canada, Morocco, and Croatia, and Luis Enrique’s side drawn in Group E alongside Germany, Japan, and Costa Rica.
