He was backing his abilities on the pitch; compared to fellow game legends Thierry Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and even Ronaldo Nazario, the former Barcelona legend chose to be better than them. It was just Ronaldo whom he paid his respects as being a close competitor but was confident to have better technical abilities than him as well. Meanwhile, Romario gave a hilarious reply when the podcast host asked who he’d back, himself or Henry.

On the Fala Brasólho podcast, the legend was confident of his capabilities to change the game and even backed himself over the upcoming star Erling Haaland.

Romario also has a successful political career and has been the Senator for Rio de Janeiro. This further underlines his public speaking skills, where he knows and is confident of the words coming out of his mouth, giving football fans a massive recollection of his skills and goals from back in his days.

The former World Cup winner, who backs the current interim coach Fernando Diniz, voiced his discontent with the idea of Ancelotti taking charge, stating,

F*ck Ancelotti. I want Diniz until the end.

Romario commended Diniz’s coaching abilities and believes the Brazilian national team is in capable hands with him. Despite Brazil’s recent setbacks in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Romario stands firm in his support for Diniz, emphasizing the coach’s potential to lead the team effectively.

Ancelotti’s plans remain uncertain, and Romario’s remarks add a layer of intrigue to the ongoing discussions about the Brazil national team’s coaching position.
