Former Barcelona Technical Secretary and Brazilian agent Andre Cury made an astonishing claim that Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr is a ‘Culer’. Cury has played a vital role in helping Barca sign a few of the most talented players in history. Brazilian star Neymar Jr. is one of the most famous names Cury helped the Catalan giants to acquire.

In a recent interview, the Brazilian agent claimed that Vini Jr. was a huge fan of Barcelona.

Vinicius was Culer. But a real Culer. I can say that he cried with happiness after Barca’s 6-1 remontada against PSG.

This isn’t the first time that Cury connected Vinicius Jr. with Barcelona. Back in 2021, the former Barca representative claimed that the Brazilian winger was on the verge of joining the Catalan giants in 2017, but at the last moment, he joined Real Madrid. Cury said, “Vinicius was signed by Barca.”

He then continued, “The two agents were close friends of mine. It was there for us. But at the last moment, my friends betrayed me and the club. Since 2017 we have not spoken.”

Real Madrid has signed highly sought Turkish talent Arda Güler from Fenerbahçe. FC Barcelona was pushing hard to sign the talented footballer from the Turkish giants, but Real Madrid hijacked the transfer from the middle of nowhere.

Both parties agreed on the player’s transfer which is worth €20m fixed fee + extra add-ons and taxes. Fenerbahçe would also have a 20% sell-on clause for Güler in the future. Medical tests are done according to the reports.

The player has signed a long-term contract which is said to be valid for six years. This has been another top signing for Carlo Ancelotti’s side who have already secured the services of Jude Bellingham for a fee worth €103 million.
