Thiago Silva has been with his wife, Belle Silva, since 2004. She has always been at his side, traveling with the Brazilian during his time in Russia. They were close to separating in 2005 when he contracted Tuberculosis, but the two are now parents of two and married for over 20 years. 

Belle Silva is also one of her husband’s and Chelsea’s biggest supporters online through, often voicing her opinions of the club. Since joining the club in 2020, Belle has defended her husband, called out the coaches, and supported his teammates on various social media sites.

It first occurred when Liverpool left-back, Andy Roberston, uploaded a video of him making Jorginho slip. When it reached Belle Silva, she immediately called Ben Chilwell, Silva’s teammate, a much better player than him. She further noted how they lost to Southampton.

Next came Timo Werner, who she publicly called out for his inability to score goals and added that the club needed a new striker. She then supported her husband during an altercation with Daniel Amartey. Amartey had thrown away a Chelsea pennant after they beat them in the 2021 FA Cup final, which enraged the Blues. 

During Graham Potter’s ‘disastrous’ spell at Chelsea, she tweeted how the manager had the wrong attitude. And now, recently, she has called for change in the Chelsea side after an embarrassing 2-4 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers at home. Belle, might just be the biggest ride-or-die fan of her husband and his club!

Belle Silva publicly apologizes for her tweet on “change”

When Belle Silva tweeted out how the club needed change, many understood it was directed at Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino. The manager was already in hot water, as they struggled to get in the top of the league.  He was often the target of fans and pundits as the team kept underperforming.

Mauricio Pochettino spoke with Thiago Silva regarding his wife’s tweet, with the Brazilian being the first to approach him. Pochettino claimed he and Silva shared a great relationship which helped diffuse the situation. 

Days after she demanded a change, she apologized for her tweet. Belle claimed that it was her passion for the club speaking and said she wanted a winning team. Pochettino also confirmed that she apologized to him for her tweet.

Chelsea recently beat Aston Villa in the FA Cup, scoring three goals in the Villa Park. They now prepare for a tough couple of weeks, as they face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup and then Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United in the league.
