Brazilian singer Anitta met with the Barcelona team on Sunday and was presented with a personalized kit. The club’s official account on Instagram uploaded a photo of her alongside Pedri, Gavi, Raphinha and Alejandro Balde. This was due to Barcelona’s tie-up with Spotify. They have to wear the logo of a particular singer after they complete a milestone. The singer also followed Gavi on Instagram.

Anitta is a highly acclaimed singer who is known for her chart-toppers such as Downtown featuring Colombian J Balvin and Envolver. Those songs amassed an impressive 500 million plays in just over a year and have now joined the esteemed group of artists associated with Barça. This prestigious lineup already includes renowned names like Rosalía, Bryant Myers and Luar La L. It also includes Catalans Bad Gyal and Mushkaa. They have all proudly worn the Azulgrana shirt.

Looking back at the previous season’s triumph, largely attributed to Spotify’s sponsorship, FC Barcelona prominently displayed the music company’s branding on several occasions. This included logos from Drake and Rosalía’s ‘Motomami’. With the new season on the horizon, there’s a possibility of witnessing more captivating collaborations once again. This showcases the strong partnership between FC Barcelona and Spotify.

Previously, there were rumors that the Brazilian singer was dating Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. She came to the support of the forward after he was racially abused in Los Blancos’ match against Valencia. During her performance in the Champions League final, she wore a blue top with the initials Vini Jr. written on it. The forward replied to her gesture on Twitter, saying, “I love you.”

According to L’Equipe, FC Barcelona are interested in signing Kylian Mbappe this summer. The striker is all set to leave PSG after refusing to sign a new contract with the club. He has been primarily linked to the Catalan’s arch rivals Real Madrid.

The report claims that Barcelona hierarchy fear the overpowering of Madrid and are ready to sign the player themselves. But their financial situation does not allow them to do so. Due to this, they are ready to offer Ousmane Dembele and Gavi as part of the deal.

PSG’s new manager Luis Enrique is said to be an admirer of both the players. However, they are both integral to Gavi’s setup at the club and are unlikely to leave at this point.
