Former Leicester City F.C. manager Brendan Rodgers has shockingly blamed Manchester United’s original fans for the abuse of their star defender Harry Maguire. The English international footballer has been facing relentless criticism and trolling from both his rival’s fans and his own fans.
Brendan Rodgers, who has been recently appointed as the new Celtic manager, has addressed the situation amidst the ongoing controversy and negative comments regarding his poor performances in recent weeks. Rodgers expressed his disbelief at the heavy criticism and pointed toward Harry Maguire, who was once under his coaching at Leicester City.
Brendan Rodgers said, “I find it a real shame that a player who, when he went into Manchester United, found himself really quickly to be the Manchester United captain. I can’t speak highly enough of him. He’s a fantastic man, I see the noise that goes around him. It’s a real shame, it’s just sad where it was created. But he’s tough, he’s mentally strong and he’ll prove throughout the rest of his career that he’s a very, very good player.”
In his revelation, Brendan Rodgers claimed Harry Maguire to be a top-class player with genuine ethics on and off the pitch. Rodgers specifically blamed Manchester United’s fanbase. He boldly pointed toward the original fans of Manchester United and also claimed that Maguire might be facing more criticism and scrutiny from his own club’s supporters.

Martin Keown claims that the Manchester United fans are using Harry Maguire as a ‘scapegoat’
Martin Keown, the former Arsenal defender, has also been vocal about his opinion on Harry Maguire, the Manchester United star defensive wall. Keown claims that Maguire has been unfairly used as a scapegoat by the club’s own fans.
The comment from Martin Keown about Maguire being called out as a ‘scapegoat’ has sparked heated debates and discussions among football enthusiasts and supporters. Most Manchester United fans believe that expectations are not merely met with Harry Maguire, despite his high price tag. Others argue that making him the odd one is the real problem.
As the new season of the Premier League unfolds, it remains to be seen how Harry Maguire and Manchester United will respond to the surge of criticism.
