Jude Bellingham and Emre Can were seen exchanging words during a disappointing 4-2 defeat away at Bundesliga title rival Bayern Munich. Borussia Dortmund endured an error-strewn evening to forget at the Allianz Arena. Can believes that Bellingham let emotion get the better of him at times in contests, as he displayed petulance. Jude was made aware that he needs to cut out such theatrics to transform into the superstar he appears destined to become.
Former Liverpool midfielder Can told ESPN what was said between them during the meeting with Bayern. He said, “Jude is still young and he has to learn a lot. Here on the pitch in front of 70,000 to 80,000, there are few things that you can do. You have to be there and have a good body language when a team-mate makes a mistake or doesn’t see you. That’s what we have to learn as a team as well.”
A costly setback in Munich has seen Dortmund slip from the top spot in the Bundesliga. But they are only two points behind Bayern. They still have plenty to play for. Can then added, “It was like we had a plan then we were 2-0 down. And then we didn’t stick to our plan. We were pressing with one man and that is not good enough but still, the season is not over. There’s a lot of points to play for, we will see what happens at the end of the season.”
Bellingham has become more of a leader for Dortmund this season. He takes on captaincy duties at times. But he is still an emerging talent and will acknowledge that he has much to learn in order to reach the very top. It is possible that a big-money transfer will form part of that process this summer.

Bellingham has been rumoured to be Jurgen Klopp’s number-one target for this summer. Liverpool are reportedly in search of midfield reinforcements after a disappointing season.
Naby Keta, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and James Milner will all see their current deals expire at the end of the season. And only the latter is being reported as possibly staying at Anfield. Arthur Melo is also likely to return to Juventus after a disappointing loan spell leaving Klopp with a number of positions to fill in.
Reports also claim that Liverpool’s owners FSG will back Klopp with ‘significant money to spend in the transfer market‘. This again will be music to the ears of supporters. Nothing is yet confirmed. Klopp and Liverpool must concentrate their immediate efforts on trying to salvage something from a poor season.
