Former Chelsea winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi had to issue a social media post, to publicly deny rumors that he was among the celebrities to visit Jeffrey Epstein‘s island. The England international dismissed the claims as ‘absurd’ after reports allegedly linked his name to a list disclosed about the Epstein documents released on Thursday.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, currently playing for the Premier League side, Nottingham Forest, made a £5 million move to the club in the summer of 2023, signing a three-year deal. The London-born winger featured in more than 100 senior games for Chelsea and was a substitute during their 2021 Champions League victory against Manchester City. Following a loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen in the 2022-23 season, he permanently moved to Forest in the summer.

In 2019, Jeffrey Epstein, a US financier and convicted sex offender, died in prison while facing s*x trafficking charges. Rumors circulated about Callum Hudson-Odoi being linked to Epstein in a trial list.

In reply, the Premier League footballer clarified he had no connection to the Epstein scandal or visited Epstein Island. Hudson-Odoi, recognizing his role as a role model, asked to stop being tagged in such posts and thanked everyone for their understanding.

I have seen this circulating around social media for a while now, and I wasn't going to comment on it as it is absurd (and I would have been a child at the time. However, understanding my position as a role model, I would like to make it absolutely clear that I have never been part of the Epstein scandal nor have I ever been to Epstein island; so please stop tagging me in these posts. Thank you.

Furthermore, Newsweek’s recent report clarified that Hudson-Odoi’s name wasn’t on the controversial list. The list is suspected to be about celebrities who contracted Covid-19 in 2020, with Hudson-Odoi being one of the first sportsmen to catch the virus.

Roughly 90 notable individuals, comprising sports figures, celebrities, and others, were implicated in court documents released on Thursday regarding visits to Jeffrey Epstein’s island.

On Thursday, a list revealed about 90 prominent people, such as ex-US Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, UK royal Prince Andrew, and physicist Stephen Hawking. Accusations of visiting Jeffrey Epstein’s island were made against them.

Spaniard Mikel Arteta is said to be in Epstein’s flight logs, but officials denied the accusations. They explained Arteta was on a mission to scout talent in the US and improve the club’s sponsor relationships.
