Carlo Ancelotti has responded to PSG’s threats of filing a complaint against Real Madrid. The Parisians are fed up and angered by the way they have handled the negotiations with Kylian Mbappe. Their view is that the 14-time Champions League winners have already agreed to a deal with the French striker to sign him next year. This would mean that his current employers would lose him for free. They want to avoid that scenario at all costs as Mbappe was brought into the club for a hefty price.

Carlo Ancelotti responded to the whole situation saying, “I’m not surprised at all. I don’t know about this matter. It’s something political that I don’t get into. I leave the political things.” The Italian coach used to manage the French club from 2011 to 2013. Therefore, a diplomatic answer was expected.

The Real Madrid manager has been adamant that the club doesn’t need a striker this season. He has said that his teams create better and more chances for themselves without a no. 9. They recently sold their long-term player in that position, Karim Benzema. During pre-season, they have struggled with scoring goals with even their best forward Vinicius Jr struggling to finish. This was very evident in their 3-0 defeat to Barcelona.

Madrid might not be able to afford Mbappe this summer. PSG wants at least around £150m for their star player despite him having just one year left in his contract. Los Blancos recently made an expensive acquisition of Jude Bellingham from Borrusia Dortmund. It will be interesting to see how one of the longest transfer sagas in the history of football ends.

Kylian Mbappe is unhappy with the situation he faces right now. He doesn’t want to sign an extension with PSG but the Madrid move does not seem likely this summer.

Many clubs are thus looking to offer him a solution by giving him one-year contracts. Most lucrative of this came from the Saudi club Al-Hilal. They offered him a package of £700m for a year. However, the French forward rejected it due to his desire to stay in Europe.

Chelsea are the latest club to enter the race. Todd Boehly is ready to send an offer to PSG for the player. However, the player does not seem too keen on the move due to them not participating in Europe this season.
