Carlo Ancelotti might make a fairy-tale return to Chelsea if Real Madrid sacks him at end of season: Reports
The Italian boss' term could be under review by the Real Madrid hierarchy
Carlo Ancelotti could be set for a sensational return to Stamford Bridge. Should the Real Madrid boss ever decide to leave the Merengues, he would be considered for the Chelsea managerial job.
Sources close to Ancelotti have told ESPN the four-time Champions League-winning coach accepts he is under pressure at Madrid. Should he fail to deliver the European grand prize for the second season in a row, the Italian boss’ term will be under review by the Real Madrid hierarchy.
Chelsea have appointed Frank Lampard as the interim manager of the club following the sacking of Graham Potter. The Blues are reportedly determined to retain the model of a coach working in tandem with a technical director. This is a model Ancelotti is very familiar with and has worked within across his career.

Mudryk to play under Lampard after failed Everton swoop
Mykhaylo Mudryk is set to play under new Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard after the latter failed to sign him during his stint as Everton head coach. The 22 year old Ukrain winger was signed by Chelsea for a whopping £88 million in the January transfer window.
Lampard had reportedly tried to sign Mudryk for £30 million during last summer’s transfer window. This offer was rebuffed by Shaktar Donetsk, who tried to keep their star player for as long as possible. The Ukrainian club’s director of football, Darijo Srna, stated, “Mudryk is a serious talent. After Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, he’s the best player in Europe in his position.”
The former Croatian player continued, “If someone wants to buy Mudryk they must spend a lot, a lot, a lot of money and respect our club and our president.” Shaktar’s demands were finally accepted by Chelsea in January, and Lampard was sacked from the Merseyside club a week later.
The London club will now take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the league, before travelling to the Santiago Bernabaeu on Wednesday to take on Real Madrid for a mouth-watering Champions League clash. Lampard will be hoping to get the most out of Mudryk to be able to stand up to the record European champions.
