Carlo Ancelotti‘s legacy in Europe goes head-to-head with that of any manager in Europe. Former AC Milan and Netherlands forward Ruud Gullit has heaped praise on the 64-year-old. He believes the current Real Madrid boss is the best coach European football has seen.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is no stranger to success in Europe. The Italian manager has won the trophy a massive four times. While the first two titles came with AC Milan, his 3rd and most recent victory came with his current club Real Madrid. While Pep Guardiola has managed to win the coveted trophy a total of three times, Sir. Alex Ferguson has one it twice.

I think he's a bit greater than Sir Alex and Pep due to the UCL's he's won. He's the King of European success.

However, he did not take away any credit from either Guardiola or Ferguson. “They are both a part of history,” said the Dutchman. However, in Gullit’s words, “He’s the King of Kings” and “better than anyone else“.

While many believe that the title of ‘best European manager’ falls to either of the three, Ancelotti boasts yet another record. He remains the only manager in history to win a title in each of the top 5 European leagues.

Ancelotti names the ‘only’ side who can stop Real from winning UCL this season

Carlo Ancelotti named the ‘only’ potential candidates that could eliminate them from the Champions League this season. The Italian named the English giants Manchester City as “favorites” for this year’s tournament. He explained that City are the defending Champions and that their squad has not changed much.

However, he acknowledged the possibility that nothing is certain in the UCL. He highlighted the fight till the end mentality of the La Liga giants as the characteristic that gives them the upper hand in the European championships.

We never think of ourselves as favorites just like City do not either...Real Madrid are a team that's going to fight until the end".

Pep Guardiola also admitted earlier that he may not be able to replicate Ancelotti’s success in Europe. He admitted that despite the fact that he is younger and has a lot of years ahead of him as a manager, breaking or matching Ancelotti’s records is not feasible. Even though he has just one trophy less as a manager, Ancelotti has won the UCL twice as a player too.
