Champions League 2022-23 AC Milan v Inter Milan Leg 2: Live Stream, Where and How to watch
The Nerazzuris have a 2-0 advantage going into the second leg.
Inter have a 2-0 cushion to cling onto going to the second leg.
Inter Milan and AC Milan will face off in the second leg of the Champions League semifinals at the San Siro on Wednesday. The Nerazzuri have the advantage going into the fixture being 2-0 up, courtesy of goals from veterans Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Milan’s loss in the reverse fixture has seen them with two consecutive defeats after a loss against Spezia in the Serie A with team morale being down.
Inter on the other hand are just the opposite winning two consecutive matches after a 2-0 triumph against Roma. They look like the heavy favorites to reach the finals of the competition. However, the much-missed Rafael Leao might feature in the fixture adding more quality and pace to the Rossoneris’ squad, something which they lacked in the first leg.
Inter are third in Serie A, five points ahead of fifth-placed AC Milan, and trying to reach the final for the first time since they were crowned European champions in 2010. They have won all of their last five matches and are unbeaten in their last eight. Milan have won just one of their last five fixtures. The seven-time UCL winners must make a statement if they are to have any hopes of an overturn in the result.
AC Milan and Inter Milan in the Champions League
They have faced off five times in the UCL with Milan unbeaten in their first four matches winning and drawing twice. Inter got the better of them in the Champions League in the reverse fixture last Thursday for the first time in their history. Milan has underperformed in the Serie A being fifth and vulnerable to not qualifying for the UCL next season after lending their entire focus on the European Competition.
Inter looks to have a good campaign being third in the Italian top flight as well as being the heavy favorites to qualify for the finals of the tournament. Their no.9 Lautaro Marinez has been in good form reaching the 20-goal mark after scoring against Roma being the second top scorer in the Serie A. The two clubs share ten UCL titles between them with Milan having seven and Inter with three.
Possible eleven
AC Milan’s lack of pace during their first fixture may prompt Stefano Pioli to start Rafael Leao despite concerns about his fitness level. An injury sustained by Ismail Bennacer might make way for Tommaso Pobega to feature in the starting lineup. Inter will probably start with similar lineups in previous matches that they have won.
AC Milan predicted XI: Mike Maignan, Davide Calabria, Fikayo Tomori, Simon Kjær, Theo Hernandez, Sandro Tonali, Tommaso Pobega, Alexis Saelemaekers, Rafael Leao, Brahim Diaz, Olivier Giroud.
Inter Milan predicted XI: Andre Onana, Matteo Darmian, Francesco Acerbi, Alessandro Bastoni, Denzel Dumfries, Nicollo Barella, Hakan Çalhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Federico Dimarco, Lautaro Martinez, Romelu Lukaku.
