Caretaker manager Frank Lampard has revealed that French midfielder N’Golo Kante is likely to miss the remainder of Chelsea’s season. This happened as Kante suffered yet another new injury setback.

Kante recently came back from an eight-month absence in April after undergoing surgery on a hamstring problem. But he was forced to miss Chelsea’s 2-2 draw at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday after suffering a groin injury in training the previous day.

Talking about Kante’s situation, Lampard said, “We lost N’Golo in training yesterday, he felt something in his groin, so that’s probably a couple of weeks and we know what that means pretty much. Kante’s unfit, he hurt his groin in training yesterday. It’s going to be a two or three-week injury.

Chelsea have just three Premier League games remaining. Their final match of the season was at home to Newcastle United on May 28, 2023.
