Chelsea has finally set their terms right with Leicester City in signing their dream young player Wesley Fofana. Multiple reports are coming in about the deal happening, and it would be a six-year deal for Fofana with Blues. The Blues has previously contacted Leicester, to make the official bid of €70m but was blatantly denied, but now somehow they have managed.
Prior to this signing in the Premier League, Harry Maguire was the costliest defender who signed for Manchester United from Leicester City in a whopping €80m deal. Considering the past offer of Chelsea for Fofana, a €70m deal was rejected as according to Leicester it was not meeting the demands of their club, so naturally, it is expected to be a much higher amount than the previous.
Leicester City’s agreement to the deal has given the Blues a chance as well to look beneath them and cure their defense. With Fofana at their side, the team could try to achieve what they’ve been looking for. Reports are also there, that Arsenal fans have requested Fofana to join them instead of their rivals.

Wesley Fofana’s role at Chelsea:
With Wesley Fofana’s arrival at Blues, many things could change including the formations of the team and the centre-back’s pivotal role in getting the desired results from the Frenchman. It is natural to have him play as they played Thiago Silva once. Considering the issues they have been facing in stopping the ball from falling into their own net.
It has been tough for the Blues as yet, to manage across the Premier League, having one lost, one drawn and one win, they’re struggling as it’s just started. They have recognized their problems lie in the defense as they got beaten 3-0 in the start of the summer which clearly shows the desperation they’ve displayed
Wesley Fofana could really help the Blues in getting safe around the back and manage a few good passes or assists as well, as the final aim of the game is to score as many goals as possible against the opponent, and Wesley might be the one who’ll stop them along with other players from scoring against their own team.
