Chelsea ‘getting ready’ to offer £14 million to Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo: Reports
Cristiano Ronaldo
Following discussions among owner Todd Boehly and head coach Thomas Tuchel, rumors claim that Chelsea is prepared to make a £14 million offer for Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
In the event that United receives a “acceptable offer” this summer, the 37-year-old attacker, who led the Premier League team in scoring last year with 24 goals, has asked to go.
One of the driving forces behind Ronaldo’s decision is his wish to play in the Champions League for the duration of his career, along with his dissatisfaction with United’s lack of activity in the transfer market.

Is Cristiano Ronaldo moving to Chelsea?
One of the teams mentioned in connection with a transfer for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is Chelsea. According to reports, Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes and owner Todd Boehly spoke about a potential trade last month.
Gabby Agbonlahor, a regular on TalkSPORT, doesn’t see the move taking place soon.
“I think [Ronaldo] would definitely be a good fit – but I don’t see it happening,” he said. ““He would not want a big ego like Ronaldo coming in and wanting to play every game.
“He would rather go and get Raphinha and Sterling, players who aren’t bigger than the manager or the club. For me, Tuchel would definitely not want Ronaldo. But if it comes from above him and the owners want him, then maybe something could happen.”
Erik ten Hag’s new coaching staff has the players back in the gym, but Ronaldo missed two straight training sessions and may never have the opportunity to play under the new boss.
