Chelsea could offload Jorginho and Kante to make room for Frenkie de Jong

As per reports by Gerard Romero, the Blues could offload some of their midfielder stars to raise funds for the transfer of Frenkie de Jong. Frenkie de Jong was Eric ten Hag’s main priority when the transfer window began.

The Dutch manager made it clear to the club that wanted Frenkie de Jong to revitalise the midfield and bring more energy. Having worked with the player before at Ajax, Manchester United still remain confident they can convince the player to sign for them.

As per the statements of Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, they have no intentions to sell the 25-year-old. Although, he concluded by saying that the club might have to sell to raise funds. Barcelona is also in the market for new players and may be compelled to sell.

The two key points for Manchester United are salary and Eric ten Hag. The club can pay the Dutch midfielder his salary at Barcelona and will hope Eric ten Hag’s influence is enough to turn the tide in their favour. Moreover, they have almost agreed on a fee with Barcelona.
