There have been rumors about Mason Mount leaving Chelsea. He is one of the midfielders Manchester United are watching carefully. Reports suggest that there are talks between the two clubs. His contract is set to expire by June 2024
Since leaving the academy, Mason Mount and Chelsea have won the Champions League and Club World Cup. The English midfielder is now the subject of a formal bid from Manchester United. Supposedly, United offered £40 million. Chelsea, who values him more, flatly refused the offer.
Reports suggest that Chelsea have put up a £70 Million price tag on the midfielder. The negotiations between the clubs, however still continue. Mason looks unlikely to extend his contract at Stamford Bridge. The contract talks between the club and the player have not turned out to be fruitful.
United are aware of their price range and are aware that there is a significant disparity in market values. United is considering a number of other players and is ready to back out of the deal. If the transfer doesn’t go through, the club has alternative options, including Moises Caicedo, a midfielder for Brighton & Hove Albion who has been a target for United for a while.

Nicolas Jackson linked to Chelsea

Chelsea has intensified its quest for a new striker and has initiated discussions on a transfer for Nicolas Jackson of Villarreal. Mauricio Pochettino, the Blues’ new head coach, aim to seek strikers to strengthen their forward line. Jackson, a 21-year-old international from Senegal, has been highlighted as a target for the summer.
Jackson had a scorching season for Villarreal, scoring nine goals in eight La Liga games to draw interest from clubs all around Europe. Last week, Chelsea met with his representatives to talk about a prospective transfer. This summer, he is anticipated to be offered for about £30 million.
Chelsea, although first have to sell players in order to balance their books. Mason Mount looks most likely to head out of the club, alongside N’golo Kante and others. Chelsea also aim to sign a new midfielder and goalkeeper as to rebuild their squad. Pochettino thus has set his eyes on the Villareal frontman as he is a cheaper option compared to other strikers.
