The 38-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted at a conference with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Saudi Sports Minister Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud. It is understood that Saudi is relentlessly pressing its position to host the 2034 World Cup. Recently, the nation missed out on the 2030 bidding as well. Cristiano was in attendance for the New World Sports Conference.

Cristiano Ronaldo is loving life in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese star has become the highest-paid player in world football after making his move to Al-Nassr. The 5-time Champions League winner had put the Saudi Pro League on the map, causing a mass exodus of players from Europe. Moreover, he is in top form at the moment, scoring 11 goals and 5 assists this season.

Subsequently, Saudi is also going to invest heavily in gaming as well. The presence of FIFA President Giovanni Infantino clearly points to the fact that the country is ready to invest heavily into hosting the next World Cup. The conference also included other celebrities in the World of Football, acting as a precedent to the upcoming eSports venture by the country.

Cristiano Ronaldo on the comeback win against Damac on Saturday

The Portuguese superstar netted from a sublime free-kick against Damac on Friday. His goal inspired Al-Nassr to a comeback win against Saudi Pro League side Damac so that they remained unbeaten in their last 10 games. His free-kick has gone viral on social media, with fans buzzing at his free-kick.

A few days after the game, Cristiano spoke about the game and their motivations for the season. He said:

Incredible atmosphere in the stadium for tonight. Extremely happy about the win and we had to keep working hard every game. 

He also commented on the marvelous “GOAT” tifo arranged by the Al-Nassr faithful. The Portuguese star thanked the fans for such a ‘tribute’. Moreover, the win lifts Al-Nassr to 3rd in the League with 22 points in 10 games.

With just 10 games played, Al-Nassr will look to topple League leaders Al-Hilal and second-placed Al-Taawoun. The club is first in Group E and faces Al Duhail in their next match. Surprisingly, the 38-year-old is the top scorer for the year 2023, with 41 goals in 44 appearances topping the list for both goals and assists this season.
