Cristiano Ronaldo had a moment to forget against Al-Shabab FC in the Saudi Pro League. The Portuguese superstar, often known for his passion and dedication on the pitch, was seen resorting to a sordid gesture. The 39-year-old was seen gesturing in a rubbing motion towards his pelvic area in response to repeated ‘Messi’ chants from the opposition fans.

The incident made headlines on social media as the clip went viral. While many went so far as to justify his actions, the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) certainly thinks otherwise. The superstar has been made to face repercussions for his actions and will now be banned from playing for Al-Nassr. The disciplinary and ethics committee have handed a one-match-ban and have also ordered the #7 to pay a fine of ten thousand Saudi riyals to SAFF and 20,000 more to Al-Shabab to cover the costs of filing the complaint.
