Al-Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo had a game to forget against bitter rivals Al-Hilal. The Faris Najd are certainly looking to put the embarrassing ‘friendly’ behind them and head into the AFC Champions League game against Al Feiha breathing with confidence. As the players put in the work ahead of the game, a video from a shooting session shows Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane getting ‘smoked’ by a young teammate.
One would expect Cristiano Ronaldo to be the best in the business when it comes to close-range shooting. The Portuguese have made a reputation for finding the net from the vicinity in recent years. However, a young player in the squad, Mashari Al-Nemer outscored the likes of Anderson Talisca, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Sadio Mane. A viral video making rounds on social media has made fans take notice of the young marksman at the club.

The video shows Ronaldo, Mane, Talisca, and Otavio miss their chances or are saved by the keeper. The youngster, however, beats the keeper in both of his attempted shots at goal, thereby winning the challenge. However, Al-Nemer is yet to start a game for the club. The 20-year-old has played just 16 minutes for Al-Nassr across four substitute appearances.

Premier League giants Manchester United have had trouble with player management recently. From Anthony Martial to Raphael Varane, the club is set to offload several big-name players in the summer, once their contract expires. One such player who came under doubt was Portuguese International Diogo Dalot. Former United defender and legend Rio Ferdinand revealed that his doubts regarding the player were put to rest by Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Al-Nassr #7 shared the locker room with Ferdinand from 2003 to 2009 during his initial stint at Old Trafford. On his podcast ‘Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE’, the latter revealed that Ronaldo assured him of Dalot getting better at the club;

While Dalot has certainly not enjoyed a smooth period at United, Ronaldo backed his teammate, saying, “He will work hard, make himself a better player and improve one hundred percent“. Deliberating on his progress at the club, Ferdinand added that Dalot has been putting up solid performances for the club in recent games.
He focused on the game against Aston Villa on the weekend, where the #20 bagged an assist while also making crucial interceptions and clearances. The right-back has made 30 appearances for the club in all competitions this season, scoring once and assisting twice in the same period. His contract was extended to 2028 last year, in a deal that will see him earn £4,420,000 per year.
