The 39-year-old star has been criticized for his on-field antics during the match against Al-Hilal. Ronaldo faced constant taunting from Al-Hilal fans, who chanted Lionel Messi‘s name to provoke him. This incident left Ronaldo deeply disappointed, and the loss to their Riyadh rivals only intensified his frustration. He responded to the opposing fans by signaling that he, not the Argentinean, was the one playing.
Ronaldo seemed visibly annoyed after the match, just before the team participated in a guard of honor, given by the Al-Hilal players and officials. While walking towards the stage to receive the runners-up medal, an on-pitch official blocked Ronaldo’s path. He expressed his frustration by raising his arm and engaging in an exchange. Despite the outburst, fellow Al-Nassr star Anderson Talisca appeared unbothered by the incident and was observed laughing.
