Cristiano Ronaldo could be parting ways from Manchester United if Erik ten Hag takes command of the Red Devils next season

According to reports, Cristiano Ronaldo could well be released by Manchester United because he is not in the plans for Eric ten Hag as the Red Devils are very close to signing the Ajax coach. Ronaldo is currently inside his three-year term with the team but could well be seen leaving the club prematurely.

The ‘would-be’ coach of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag, is looking to make his preferable players fit in the team. Ronaldo might have left his prime some years back and Ten Hag feels it would be good to make plans without him.

Manchester United is yet to make ten Hag’s signing official and sign any deal with the Ajax coach but it looks that the Dutch manager will take over Ralf Rangnick’s role next season.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo was brought into the team in a hope of changing their situation of being trophyless for quite some seasons but his presence could hardly make any difference to the good. This is what is making the United hierarchy think about Ronaldo’s future in the side. Erik ten Hag has told the United officials to part ways with Ronaldo as he is not in his tactics.

Has Cristiano Ronaldo impressed or failed at Manchester United since his homecoming?

Cristiano Ronaldo was picked by Sir Alex Ferguson from Sporting Lisbon and was introduced to the Manchester United side in 2003. Since then, Cristiano’s fortune has changed in the perfect direction as he went on to break numerous records since then. Cristiano Ronaldo went to Real Madrid for a world-record transfer fee as the most expensive player in the history of football.

However, the Portuguese legend re-joined Manchester United from Juventus last summer which was a shocking move for the football fans. Since his joining, he has scored 18 goals for the Reds but could not get close to any trophies for the fifth straight season. Eric Ten Hag’s appointment as the new head coach can thus, cause Ronaldo’s early departure from Old Trafford.
