Cristiano Ronaldo is looking at every possible destination he could head to as he aims to leave Manchester United just one year after his historic return to Old Trafford.
However, with all his likely destinations having closed their doors for the Portuguese international, Atletico Madrid has emerged as a potential suitor, as reported by AS.

Cristiano Ronaldo spent 9 years in the Spanish capital playing for Real Madrid. he was involved in numerous games where the Portuguese single-handedly helped the Galacticos win the Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid.
In fact, Ronaldo was heavily involved in both the Champions League finals wins where Real Madrid defeated Atletico Madrid, not to mention the number of times he single-handedly knocked out Diego Simeone’s side from the competition or La Liga.
However, even after countless memories of playing against the Los Rojiblancos, Ronaldo is now reportedly eying the possibility of joining the side as he looks to leave Manchester United.
Atletico could be on the lookout for a new striker after confirming Luis Suarez’s exit from the club and Antoine Griezmann’s price of €40 million being termed too high. Hence, Ronaldo emerges as a cheaper short-term alternative.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s representatives have approached Atleti for a possible move but there the Spanish giants are yet to confirm an interest in the player as of now. Odds in England however suggest that the player could stay with Manchester United this summer.
