Cristiano Ronaldo‘s reaction to the Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou fight was caught on video as he appeared tense while watching the bout seated amongst Saudi royalty. Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, went to the Boulevard Hall in Riyadh after Ronaldo’s soccer game.

The Portuguese met with some of his former teammates and was asked by a reporter who he was supporting in the fight. He replied, saying both of the fighters were his friends. Ronaldo, like others, watched with a worried expression as Francis Ngannou scored a knockdown against Tyson Fury, the World Heavyweight Champion.

Cristiano Ronaldo met up with old pals and former Manchester United teammates Rio Ferdinand and Luis Figo before the fight. He also got some love from Tyson Fury, who praised him as a great footballer, yesterday. However, today he met his counterpart and his other ‘friend’.

Ronaldo chatted with Ngannou, shared moments with Ngannou’s family, and gave him a £87,000 ‘CR7’ watch. After Tyson Fury won the fight, Ronaldo and his partner left the arena, which was still buzzing with fans from both sides.

In an interview between Ronaldo and Gennady Golovkin – for DAZN’s documentary ‘Parallel Worlds’, the Portuguese revealed that while his profession and passion is football, he prefers to watch other sports on television.

Cristiano Ronaldo once visited Conor McGregor‘s gym in 2016 – in Las Vegas – during the fighter’s preparation for UFC 202 against Nate Diaz. He also met former undefeated UFC Champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov on two occasions once at Real Madrid and again in England during the player’s spell at Manchester United. In the world of boxing – aside from his recent meeting with Tyson Fury – the player had met with British fighter, Anthony Joshua with the pair taking a photo together.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s love for combat sports is evident in his photos and conversations with top fighters. He has mentioned that he doesn’t believe he could become a boxer, effectively ending any speculation about his boxing career.
