The 38-year-old once again showed the World why he still belongs at the top after an outrageous finish against Al Akhdoud on Friday. The Portuguese skipper returned to action for Al-Nassr following the International break and picked up right where he left off. His first goal of the night has sent the internet into a frenzy.

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to action against Al Akhdoud on Friday. The veteran bagged a brace against his opponent, scoring 2 of the 3 goals in a 3-0 win for Al-Nassr. The game against Al Akhdoud was in the balance until the 77th minute. The score was 1-0 for the home side, but it was Cristiano Ronaldo who put daylight between the two teams.

His goal came at the end of a ‘chaotic’ sequence when an Al-Nassr forward was through on goal. However, Alex Tells’ pass was intercepted by Al Akhdoud keeper Paulo Vitor. However, his decision to come outside the penalty box was punished by Ronaldo’s quick thinking.

Al-Nassr continue their winning ways as captain Cristiano Ronaldo put in a wonderful performance against Al Akhdoud in the Saudi Pro League. The first matchday following the International break did not disappoint as fans were witness to a 3-0 for the team led by the talismanic #7. The game was blown wide open when Sami Al-Najei finished a marvelous attacking sequence by the home side.

The opposition were relatively silent in a game where both Cristiano Ronaldo and Anderson Talisca squandered multiple chances. However, Ronaldo was not to be denied in the 77th minute, when his precise control and powerful shot at the near post propelled Al-Nassr to a 2-0 lead. His second goal was not far away, as he chipped Al Akhdoud keeper Paulo Vitor who was well outside the penalty box.

The game ended 3-0 in favor of Al-Nassr, with fans praising the veteran’s goalscoring and elite finishing at the age of 38. Following the win, Al-Nassr now have 34 points from a possible 42 but find themselves trailing Al-Hilal, who are without star player Neymar Jr. The table toppers have 35 points from 13 games, while also having a game-in-hand over Al-Nassr.
