Cristiano Ronaldo is set for a contract extension with Saudi side Al-Nassr which will keep him at the club until his retirement. According to journalist Ali Al-Harbi, the Portuguese maestro has informed the club about his desire to play for the club till he hangs up his boots and is keen on a contract extension.
He is also keen on representing his nation a final time at the 2026 World Cup. This will also be his last attempt to successfully challenge for the trophy, which he has never won before. Al-Nassr would also like to hold onto Ronaldo’s commercial value for as long as possible to boost their revenues.
Another extension would mean that Ronaldo would play for Al-Nassr till 2027. He has had a stupendous start to life in the Riyadh-based club, scoring 25 times in 30 appearances.
CR7’s desire underlines that he will be 41 when he next plays at the World Cup, underlining his immense longevity and desire to try and win the prestigious trophy. Ronaldo suffered a disappointing campaign in the Qatar World Cup. So, now, he wants to just do it in ‘the last dance’ for his beloved nation.
