Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was trolled by a young boy while returning to the dugout on Friday. The former galactico replied in style as the internet erupted to acknowledge his quick wit.

After finishing the match 3-1 against Al-Batin, which had a ludicrous 17 minutes of extra time, Al-Nassr managed to keep their perch on the top of the table. Ronaldo didn’t score in the match but his recent scoring record is behind the title charge of the Saudi club.

While coming back to the dressing room, a young boy tried to troll the great saying Lionel Messi is the better of the two. The boy screamed, “Messi is the greatest footballer.” Ronaldo, after a gruelling 110 minutes on the pitch, replied with characteristic confidence, “Go watch him then, why are you here.”

As he walked away from the place, there was nothing else heard from the boy. The zesty reply stands completely in line with his actions throughout his life from calling himself the best player to throwing away microphones of journalists trying to invade his space.

One of the biggest debates that have been around in the football verse is the debate on who among the duo is the best the world has ever seen. Two phenomenal athletes with talent, work ethic and love for the game, Ronaldo and Messi took the world by storm in the mid-2000s. But it was not until 2009, when Ronaldo joined Real Madrid, that the rivalry was experienced at its fullest.

Ronaldo’s incessant hunger for goals and Messi’s casual elegance made defenders tremble at their very name. CR7, in his illustrious career, has scored 709 goals and has 225 assists to his name till now while La Pulga has 706 goals and 335 assists. Both stats alone can make any footballer elite but together, the stats only validate the claims of the fans that if there had been a judgement on who is best of all time, it has to be among the two.

However, it is the difference between the two that makes the debate all too inevitable. Ronaldo, a goal machine has changed his position from a winger to a striker to score more and more goals. He can score with all of his body parts. But Messi, like a true magician, weaves with the ball on his feet gliding past defenders and then slotting the ball with supernatural consistency.

When Ronaldo left Europe and Messi left Barcelona, many believed that the debate might stop as the two are playing different leagues. However, Messi’s World Cup triumph and FIFA player of the year award have reignited the flames. Ronaldo has also hit back at his rival with two quickfire hattricks. This has also helped his team raise some odds at the latest online casinos, particularly those not at Gamstop, here is a list of the UK betting sites not on Gamstop

After ending his return to Manchester United on a sour note for an interview with broadcast journalist Piers Morgan, Ronaldo headed to Al-Nassr just after the World Cup to play in the Saudi Pro League. The club has paid a premium of $73 million a year to land the blockbuster player for two years.

While it took Ronaldo some time to get used to the playing style of the team, Ronaldo is back in his goal-scoring form. At the age of 38, Ronaldo has scored eight goals and lodged two assists in just six games. Among these, seven came in just two matches. It is beyond doubt that the former Real Madrid talisman is going to become a key player for the franchise.
