Cristiano Ronaldo, in his first-ever Al-Nassr press conference, has claimed that his work in Europe is done. “I won everything,” he stated. When Cristiano signed for Al-Nassr, a press conference was held to not only honour but also present their new player to the media. The Portuguese star was asked by the presenter, “How does it feel to be in Saudi Arabia?” To this, he replied that he was happy with his decision at this point in his career and stated that his work in Europe was done as he had won everything, played for the top clubs around the continent and now was the right time for a new challenge.
Cristiano revealed that he had the opportunity to join several other clubs with offers pouring in from the US, Australia and even Brazil. However, he stated, “I gave my word to this club…to develop not only the football but other parts of this amazing country”.
Cristiano has now been joined by ex-Liverpool star, Sadio Mane and Champions League finalist, Marcelo Brozović, with whom the Portuguese has already lifted his first trophy for Al-Nassr, the Arab Club Champions Cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo has ended his 20year career in Europe winning league titles across several countries, lifting the Champions League and winning several other individual accolades including the coveted Ballon d’Or. Now a pioneer for the Saudi Pro League, his transfer to the Middle East has told many European stars that a move to Saudi Arabia is not completely out of the cards.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible season with Al-Nassr
The Al-Nassr captain already boasts incredible numbers with an impressive 10 goals and 5 assists in 9 games in the league. Cristiano Ronaldo is clearly in no mood to slow down with age as the Portuguese has established himself as one of the best in the Saudi Pro League at the age of 38.
Ronaldo played an immense role in the Riyadh derby when Al Nassr visited Al-Awwal Park to face Al-Ahli earlier this season. With two goals followed by an assist, the Al-Nassr captain played a crucial role in winning all three points against their rivals. He also scored a late winner against Al-Tai in the 87th minute of the game to ensure Al-Nassr’s, at the time, 6-game win streak continued.
Currently undefeated since the second matchday, Al-Nassr will be hoping for their Portuguese Talisman to remain in-form and injury-free as they aim to win the league title that slipped out of their hand last season to Al-Ittihad.
