The new manager of Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia will not be Massimiliano Allegri, the head coach of Juventus. He has turned down their most recent proposal, which included a large sum of money. Allegri’s goal for Juventus is to improve the team.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Allegri, 55, has rejected a ‘major, verbal contact’ from Al Hilal. According to the Italian transfer specialist, the Saudi Arabian team offered a salary of €20 million per year until June 2025. Allegri declined, stating that the Tuscan coach is solely focused on Juventus.

According to Romano, Al Nassr never made an offer, and only Al Hilal countered with a better one. As a result, a reunion between Allegri and Cristiano Ronaldo seems doubtful. Allegri sat through the presentation out of respect, but he had no intention of leaving Juventus, even though it would essentially increase his current salary manifolds.

This is his second stint as Bianconeri’s coach, having previously served from 2014 to 2019. He returned in the summer of 2021. Regardless of the fact that his footballing approach has made him unpopular among fans and critics and his results have been poor for the past two years. Allegri will remain at the helm of the Old Lady, hoping to turn things around.

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is the latest player to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. N’Golo Kanté has already confirmed his intention to join Karim Benzema at Al Ittihad, while Kalidou Koulibaly and Hakim Ziyech are also preparing to relocate to the Middle East.

Hudson-Odoi, 22, is far younger than many other players linked with similar moves this summer. But the attacker is at a crossroads in his career. He has become somewhat of an afterthought in English football. He also is not in plans for the new Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino.

Once regarded as a potential star, he spent the previous season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga but did not impress enough to secure a permanent move, and is set to return to Stamford Bridge this summer. He only made 14 starts for the Bundesliga club, and his time there was marred by the injuries that have become a significant theme in his footballing career.
