Joana Sanz, the wife of Dani Alves, is undeniably going through the most challenging months of her life. Her husband is imprisoned for sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman in late 2022. Her mother, to whom she was very close, also recently passed away. Professionally, however, her luck is different. The model from the Canary Islands traveled to Dubai for the inauguration of the new Sesderma Skin Center.
The Spanish firm organized a great party at the exclusive Sushi 99 restaurant with sopranos Virginia Tola and Estíbaliz Martyn. Joana Sanz was spotted enjoying the beautiful rhythms of the Gipsy Kings and Chris MJ.
Meanwhile, her husband Dani Alves is still in custody, accused of sexually assaulting a young woman in a booth at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona. Despite the sportsman’s defense, led by the prestigious criminal lawyer Cristobal Martell, working hard to get him released on bail while the investigation continues, the judge and the Provincial Court have ruled against it.
Around the time Joana Sanz commented on her social networks that she was going to the Middle East “to sunbathe.” Alves received a visit in prison from his ex-wife and mother of his children, Dinorah Santana, who has always believed in his innocence: “Dani is innocent, and it will soon be proven. Me and his children believe in him, and we believe in his innocence,” she declared on leaving Brians 2.

How long is Dani Alves expected to remain in prison?
Dani Alves may soon learn his fate as he remains imprisoned over a sexual assault case. The Brazilian footballer is in the Brians II prison awaiting trial. On December 30, 2022, at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona, he was charged with sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman.
According to the victim, Alves slapped her and forced her to sit on his lap. In a private bathroom, he also tried to force himself on her. Following the incident, security cameras captured Alves walking past the tearful victim. The victim immediately alerted security, who notified Barcelona police. Dani, however, had left the club by the time the cops arrived.
The Barcelona court denied Alves’ request for temporary release, keeping him in prison until his trial date. The court, on the other hand, stated that “even the DNA analysis that normally delays the procedures for crimes of sexual violence have been practiced,” and that traces of relevant fluids were found on the victim’s body, her dress, and the sink in the private bathroom. They all matched Alves’ DNA.
Regarding the potential prison sentence for Alves, the Prosecutor’s Office said that he faces “a crime of sexual assault with penetration of article 179 of the Criminal Code that provides for a penalty between four and 12 years in prison”.
According to judicial sources, Alves’ alleged abuse of authority will also be considered. If this occurs, the former Barcelona defender could face a prison sentence of 8 to 10 years.
