David Moyes‘ time at West Ham United has been out of a top drawer. The club finished 14th in the Premier League last season. However, David Moyes led the Irons to their first European triumph, winning the Europa Conference League. The Hammers defeated Fiorentina two goals to one in the final. Now, the club played their most recent game in the Europa League and won 2-1 against SC Freiburg, unlocking yet another record.

Following the win, Moyes and West Ham achieved a unique record. The win against Freiburg places West Ham atop the clubs with the biggest unbeaten streak in European Competitions. He found the net yet again but was flagged offside. Freiburg responded early in the second half after a double save from Fabianski wasn’t enough to keep out Roland Sallai.

Nayef Aguerd headed West Ham into the lead from a James Ward-Prowse corner. Freiburg failed to respond to the second goal, allowing the visitors to steal all the points. Subsequently, the win places West Ham top of their group with 6 points.

After a record-setting game, the club returns to action against Newcastle United on Sunday. West Ham United are currently 7th in the Premier League.
