In an unexpected series of events, UEFA has given their final verdict and has declared Juventus’ exclusion from the Conference League for the 2023/24 season. The club was found guilty of inflating transfer fees to increase their capital gains in the “Capital Gains Case,” resulting in the decision. Juventus has received a significant fine of €20 million in addition to the suspension.

Now Juventus will lose their chance to participate in the Conference League as a result of their expulsion, and Fiorentina, who are placed eighth in the Serie A table, will take their place. Providing Fiorentina with an opportunity to redeem themselves after they narrowly missed out on winning the Conference League in the previous season.

The shocking suspension occurs just as the Serie A giants Juventus were gearing up for the upcoming campaign and vying for a position in the popular Champions League. Juventus will be motivated to regroup and handle the financial wrongdoings now that they have been kicked out of the Conference League in order to avoid any additional punishments that could endanger their spot in European campaigns in the future.

Gianluca Ferrero, Juventus’ president, conveyed his disappointment with the decision of the UEFA Club Financial management. But he also said that the club will not challenge the ruling against them. They instead want to remove the period of ambiguity around their participation in upcoming international contests.
